OnLeaks unveils more images of the future OnePlus Open folding smartphone by updating a few elements in order to offer a complete overview of the device and, in particular, of its gigantic circular photo block.

OnePlus has been seriously talking regarding a folding smartphone since the beginning of the year. In June, OnLeaks unveiled a first look at what was thought to be called OnePlus V Fold. The probable tempting characteristics then circulated before we learned that we should finally expect a phone called “OnePlus Open”.
This anthology of twists continues a little more: OnLeaks indeed returns to the charge and joins the site Smartprix to share even more footage of the OnePlus Open with some tweaks made in the meantime. As usual, the leaker relies on its reliable sources to produce these renderings in high definition. If the information must obviously be taken with tweezers, OnLeaks has proven more than once that it was right.
A huge photo module
So admire the anticipated design of the OnePlus Open from different angles. Whatever the angle, difficult to miss the monumental photo module. OnLeaks and Smartprix explain that the block in question “has undergone significant changes since the first renderings “. This is how we end up with a module ” more prominent than on the first prototype ».

Count three cameras integrated into this huge circle (including a telephoto lens). They are accompanied by an additional sensor located near the H logo of Hasselblad, but we do not yet know what it is: ToF or LiDAR? As for the flash, it’s located in the upper left corner of the OnePlus Open’s rear side in these renders, but it’s increased in size slightly from the first images.
Otherwise small change: the camera embedded in a punch of the internal screen passes from the left corner to the right corner.
A OnePlus Open with Oppo Find N2 sauce
OnePlus is a sister brand of Oppo. It would therefore not be surprising to see the OnePlus Open inspired by the Oppo Find N2. In this regard, OnLeaks explains that since the first images released, the format of the folding smartphone has evolved to adopt a larger ratio.

We would therefore have a phone betting on a comfortable display of content on the external screen and fairly compact dimensions. Exactly like the Find N2 except that the OnePlus Open would be larger overall. The external screen would also sport rounded corners and refined borders.
Detail that is important: the OnePlus Open would be equipped with the Alert Slider: the physical latch allowing you to quickly alternate between the ringtone, silent and vibrate modes. It is an elementsignatureof the brand. Also note that we should expect a faux leather covering on the back.

Moreover, a small reminder of the expected characteristics is essential: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, two 120 Hz screens of 7.8 and 6.3 inches, two 48 Mpx sensors, a telephoto lens 64 Mpx, a 4800 mAh battery or a 67 W charger.
It remains to be seen whether the OnePlus Open will see the light of day in France. Nothing is decided in advance in a context where we have seen Oppo leave France.
