We publish the first picture of the lost painting of Abdel Hadi Al-Jazzar 50 years ago.. I know the story

The statement of the Ministry of Culture, issued by the Czech arts sector, warning against buying the painting of the pioneering artist Abdel Hadi Al-Jazzar, pointing out that the painting belongs to the arts sector in the ministry, sparked widespread controversy about the painting of the great artist and its fate after this statement.

“The Seventh Day” is unique in publishing the first picture of the painting, as we learned from informed sources that the painting bearing the name “Inspired by the Red Sea Lighthouses” has been missing for 50 years, as it was loaned in 1971 from the Museum of Egyptian Modern Art to the office of the then Minister of Culture, Dr. Badr. Al-Din Abu Ghazi, and a while after the latter left the seat of the Minister of Culture, the painting was lost and its location has not been determined since then.

The Ministry of Culture was surprised during the last period by the presentation of the painting by one of the international arts offices for sale, which prompted the ministry to move immediately and take all legal and official steps, in order to restore the painting and return it to its place alongside the works of the pioneering artist Abdel Hadi Al-Gazzar at the Museum of Egyptian Modern Art.

And a statement from the Ministry of Culture issued a while ago, warns the Fine Arts Sector of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture against dealing in the sale or purchase of artwork (inspired by the Red Sea lighthouses) by the late pioneering artist Abdel Hadi El-Gazzar.

The sector confirms that the work is owned by the plastic arts sector and the holdings of the Modern Egyptian Museum, after it received information about the possibility of a fraud related to an offer to market this work for sale.

The sector clarifies that the work has been on loan since 1971, and is considered missing, and that the plastic arts sector and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture reserve the right to take all legal measures in this regard to preserve the national artistic heritage.
