We publish the biography of “Amr Kamal Helmy”, a member of the Senate, by a republican decision

The Official Gazette published President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s decision, No. 134 of 2022, appointing Amr Mostafa Kamal Helmy as a member of the Senate, in the place vacated by the death of the late Mahmoud Sayed Mahmoud Sayed El-Kardousi.

– Amr Mostafa Kamal Helmy, is the son of Minister Mostafa Kamal Helmy, former head of the Shura Council.

He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1979, where he held the position of Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Italy from 2013 to 2017, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Ireland from 2007 to 2011, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to South Korea from 2001 to 2005 and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Foreign Affairs European Union from 2011 to 2013 and Assistant Secretary of State for International Economic Affairs from 2005 to 2007.

He also held the position of Deputy Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Japan from 1994 to 1998, advisor at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Tunisia from 1987 to 1990, and a member of Egypt’s delegation to the United Nations in Geneva from 1982 to 1986.
