According to Mr. Giorgos Pitsilis, director of AADE, in the first two months of 2024 there was a significant increase in tax refunds, reaching 1.2 billion euros.

This increase, amounting to 435 million euros compared to 2023, is an encouraging development for the Greek economy.

This was noted, among others, by the commander of the Independent Public Revenue Authority George Pitsilisat the conference of the Panhellenic Association of Exporters on the topic of “The Growing Extroversion of the Greek Economy”.

Mr. Pitsilis referred to its strategic planning AADE with a focus on supporting the extroversion of businesses and simplifying administrative burdens.

As he noted, the international economy has changed and the latest developments in technology structurally and structurally affect business and this leads to the development of digital customs and tax services.

According to the protothema, especially for customs he emphasized that the satisfaction index with customs services has reached 77% from 35% in 2015. An important work has been done, but we have a lot of things to do, as he said and indicated that he is preparing the “one stop shop” to be delivered within the year.

“The integrated vehicle container tracking system will go out to tender in the coming days and will change the map by protecting healthy business activity,” he noted.

Mr. Pitsilis mentioned that 226 guaranteed exporter licenses have already been granted while he added “we will continue to support the healthy business. We have set the bar high.”
