“We need to talk”: “When I hear the debate on cocaine, it reminds me of the one on abortion”

This Monday, February 6, Maxime Binet discussed with his guests the explosion of polyamory, the situation of the monarchy as well as the legalization of cocaine.

With the first guest of the day, Paul Dewandre, the author of the show “men come from Mars, women from Venus”, the debate turned to a phenomenon which is gaining momentum in Belgium, polyamory. “Are we made to live with the same person? I don’t know. During one of my shows, the public gave a standing ovation to a couple who had been married for 43 years. Like what we place a lot of value on this love for two.”

Then, the debate turned to the political system of Belgium. Is the monarchy ‘has been’? For Alexis Carantonis, editor-in-chief of Dh.be, we cannot blame the King. “Even the most anti-monarchist of Belgians has little to reproach King Philippe for. There is very little interference from royal power in the daily lives of Belgians.”

To end the show, Maxime de Binet’s team looked at a subject that has been in the news in Belgium for some time, cocaine. To discuss the possible legalization of cocaine, who other than Judge Anne Gruwez, a leading figure in the judicial community. “Cocaine is democratizing enormously. When I hear the debate on cocaine, it reminds me of the one on abortion or cigarettes. The most important thing is that we talk regarding it, she concludes.
