‘We must stop the spread of this poison: Modi must intervene’; Nazaruddin Shah in blasphemy | India News | National News

Bollywood actor Nazaruddin Shah has hit back at the global outcry over BJP leaders’ comments regarding the Prophet Muhammad. Nazaruddin Shah has demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi intervene in the matter. Shah urged Modi to “stop spreading this poison”.

‘I urge him (PM) to make good sense of any of these. If you believe what the ‘Dharam Sansad’ in Rishikesh said, then the Prime Minister should say it, and if he does not believe it, he should say it. Nasiruddin Shah said in an interview to a news channel.

‘It is difficult to soothe hurt feelings. I would not be surprised if such hate speech happens once more. It is paradoxical that you talk regarding peace and unity, you have imprisoned so many for more than a year. You talk regarding genocide and regarding yourself. What is happening here is a double whammy. ‘ Nasiruddin Shah added.
