Michalis Katrinis left criticism against his fellow candidates for the leadership of PASOK, and especially against Nikos Androulakis, Haris Doukas and Anna Diamantopoulos.
“PASOK can no longer move in the percentages of a registration party. To celebrate because a unit is rising, PASOK must be clearly demarcated against New Democracy. I estimate that he must satisfy what the social majority wants and showed as a message in the European elections: He wants a large faction that is a real threat to the New Democracy, to win it,” Mr. Katrinis initially said on SKAI television.
“I am not saying that I will become prime minister or that I will win over Mr. Mitsotakis because for this to happen PASOK will have to form a militant opposition. I wonder if PASOK can go from 13 to 33, to 35 and be the first party. I want to believe that we all want this, which is why we are running as candidates, to make PASOK a party of power and not a party of record with 13-15%. Who can form an opposition and convince the citizens, the one who had the opportunity and PASOK lost 100,000 voters? Anyone else who was absent from PASOK for five years or someone who considers PASOK to be a part-time job? These are questions and they must be answered,” he added.
Asked about the low numbers in the polls, Mr. Katrinis replied: “I submitted 14,000 signatures with names and phone numbers. I hold mass gatherings all over Greece.
