Apple will launch USB-C iPhones in the European Union. This was stated by Vice President of Marketing Greg Joswak in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
“We will have to obey the new law, we have no choice,” Joswak commented on the transition to a new connector in Apple devices. The company’s vice president criticized the bill and said it would only increase the amount of e-waste.
The changes will affect models that support wired charging. Whether the USB-C iPhone will be sold in other countries is unknown.
New law on a single connector in the European Union was accepted at the beginning of October. For most gadgets, it will come into force in the fall of 2024.
