Yevgeny Korniychuk recalled that Kyiv’s requests for air defense systems and other forms of military assistance were rejected.

Ukraine has been fighting for its independence and freedom with the Russian aggressor for a year now, and many countries support it in this fight by offering military assistance. But Israel continues to remain neutral, although the country’s policy regarding the war is gradually changing, but Ukrainian Ambassador Yevhen Korniychuk believes that our state should act more decisively.

He said this during the conference “Israel and the new world (chaos) order”, reports Haaretz.

The Ukrainian ambassador brought to the event a fragment of an Iranian UAV, with which the Russian invaders are shelling the territory of Ukraine, and said that today Iran is attacking his state, and tomorrow it might launch a series of strikes on Israel.

“We are champions in the number of downed Iranian drones. We have a common enemy, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend. This is how I will attract the attention of the Israeli government,” Yevgeny Korniychuk stressed.

He noted that Ukraine is very grateful to Israel for the humanitarian aid provided, but, unfortunately, the war cannot be won with bandages and antibiotics. Kyiv’s requests regarding the transfer of air defense systems and other forms of military assistance were rejected by the government due to the presence of the Russian Federation * in Syria, but the Ukrainian ambassador called it “unconvincing excuses.” He recalled that Moscow had already withdrawn a significant part of its troops from Syria and transferred them to the Ukrainian front.

Korniychuk said that intelligence exchanges between Ukraine and Israel continued throughout the war and welcomed the recent visit of Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen to Kiev, but believes that our country should act more decisively, since such steps are not enough.

The Cursor wrote earlier that Mikhail Brodsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Ukraine, gave a new interview in which he spoke on a number of topics related to the war in Ukraine, in particular, he assessed the assistance provided by the Armed Forces of Ukraine by Jerusalem on a 10-point scale.
