The former mayor of Brussels Yvan Mayeur and originator of the pedestrian area returns, for La DH, to the story of a project which has “marked the start of a different vision of the city”.
This Sunday, participants in the “picnic the streets” event on Place de La Bourse, in the heart of Brussels, will certainly come across Yvan Mayeur. “I’ll go there”, assures the former mayor of the City of Brussels and progenitor of the now famous Brussels pedestrian area. He will certainly chat with the philosopher Philippe Van Parijs, creator of these asphalt picnics, back at the foot of La Bourse ten years following his first gourmet event.
