“We do not accept disorder,” the message left in homes in three municipalities of Táchira

On Thursday, July 25, homes of political leaders and those close to electoral centers in the municipalities of Michelena, Ayacucho and Lobatera in the state of Táchira were marked with graffiti by unknown individuals with the messages “territory of peace, we do not accept disorder.”

In the municipality of Michelena, it was confirmed that the homes of the Public Prosecutor, a council member, the family of former mayor Fernando Andrade, among others, were marked, as well as public schools, the local orchestra and the preschool; while in Ayacucho, the messages appeared in the homes of citizens without political allegiance who live in the town of San Félix.

In this regard, the deputy of the National Assembly for Táchira, Gustavo Rangel, stated that this type of citizen threats demonstrate the desperation of those who would be losing the electoral process.

“This type of graffiti, far from dirtying the facade of a citizen, should have been given paint so that they could fix their facade. Thousands of families today make a great effort to be able to paint their homes and today these graffiti do nothing but generate intimidation in the population, causing property damage to Venezuelans, as this government has been doing for years,” he said.

Representative Gustavo Rangel said that these types of events should inspire more citizens to go out and vote on July 28.
