The non-profit association hopes that additional funds will soon be collected in order to be able to deliver the food collected. So far, 33 trucks have been able to leave for Ukraine.
“We are not receiving enough financial contributions at the moment. The ASBL’s account cannot follow. There are too many trucks that are ready, but we can’t pay for the fuel,” says Sergiy Lytvyn from Renaissance de la Nation.
While twelve trucks are stationary, fifteen others arrive to stock up on food. And if material donations continue to flow in from all over the country, financial donations are lacking.
“There is still a need for sleeping bags, mattresses, small gas canisters to heat up meals, flashlights, baby food, medicine and hygiene products,” says Mr. Lytvyn.
People who wish to help the Renaissance de la Nation association can make a donation to account number BE05 0689 4463 9375.
