“We believed in justice before!”

There was a lot of emotion at the end of the trial, when the floor was given to the relatives of the victims of the Liège shooting : Laurent Kremer’s dad was shocked by the comments of the defendants’ lawyers, confident that the civil parties would undoubtedly have had a very bad experience of an assize trial if Nordine Amrani had survived and been defended: “We have the impression here that we pay homage to the killer… We tell you that he was courageous, that he followed training, that he was inserted… It is very painful. The facts happened because we let things go, and it is challenging to know that he was acting as we said (Editor’s note: frequenting habitual criminals, working on the black market, etc.) and that ‘other side, we didn’t realize it’.
