We are ready to exercise sovereignty on the 28th and defend the vote

There is a will for change and the vast majority of Venezuelans are willing to express themselves on July 28. “There are those who want to spread despair and say that we will not achieve it, but the reality is that when a people mobilizes, as will happen on the 28th, and makes a decision, no one can stop them. It happened in Chile at one time and it will happen in Venezuela, we have to prepare for the 29th, that day we will embrace each other as a family,” he says. The political leader maintains that at this time the important thing is not the political organizations, the important thing is to save Venezuela, recover democracy, open the door of hope to the people and the reunion of families.

“Our main focus, a few days before the electoral process, despite the obstacles, is to work on the campaign and to be able to build that hope for change within the unitary platform. To remind people that there are three cards to vote for change: the Unity card, the New Time card and the Movement for Venezuela card. And that we can express ourselves on the 28th in peace and democracy,” he points out.

Once once more, the COPEI leader highlights the importance of the Barbados Agreement signed by the delegation of the unitary platform and by the other parties involved. “It establishes electoral guarantees, it speaks of the recognition of the results, that is why we did not sign another document because our macro agreement is very clear,” he maintains.

Despite the opening of more than 1,700 new polling stations, the relocation of voters and other obstacles, Garcia says they are prepared for that day. “Every vote counts and no one should be left without a voice.”

In addition to the witnesses, Robert García says that there are 600,000 Venezuelans committed to working that day to guarantee the defense of the vote. When the centers close, these people will be there to monitor the totalization process to the extent that the capacity of the premises allows it. “We are prepared to exercise that sovereignty on the 28th and defend the vote,” he says.
