During an open dialogue with the president Gustavo Petrowithin the framework of Assembly of Industrialists of Colombia, Andi’s president, Bruce Mac Master, spoke of the need for the sector he represents and the government to be able to work hand in hand, leaving aside ideology, in order to seek development in the face of the country’s great social challenges.
“We are not going to get entangled with ideologies, we are here to build a country. Andi’s last name is More Country and it was arranged by the associates because we believe in the need to build”, he said.
The leader of the industrialists took advantage of the space in front of President Petro to express several of the concerns before his government and before what the new tax reform which is already in Congress.
Can read:
“When they ask me regarding the tax reform I say: I declare myself concerned. I declare myself concerned because I believe that this might have fundamental errors for our economy. We are concerned regarding the energy sector and the mining sector”, he reviewed.
And he said that in the Assembly it had become clear that the great message for the president was that of the possibility of joint work, in order to move forward with social issues much more quickly.
“I want the president to take away the message that A large number of your concerns can be processed with us: I am talking regarding the social, economic, macroeconomic objectives and we can do it by the threadbare path in the shortest time. And we can have good results,” he expressed.
Mac Master told Petro that it was important to avoid stigmatization as the main flag to avoid polarization. “We should not and must not stigmatize businessmen, we must not stigmatize any sector. That does not produce anything and is the breeding ground for polarization and that does not serve the country”, he said.
