With those words, from the front of the National Congress in Valparaiso, Gabriel Boric delivered his first message as President of the Republic of Chile.

This Friday, March 11, the Frente Amplio was officially proclaimed -along with his ministerial cabinet- to assume the highest position at the national level for the next four years (2022-2026) and succeed to Sebastian Pinera.
The ceremony was held in hall of honorat the seat of Parliament, and as is the tradition in Chilean presidential investitures, who handed him the presidential band Boric and took the oath of office was the new president of the Senate, Alvaro Elizalde.
After signing the act that makes him official as President, singing the national anthem, ending with the investiture and greeting the attendees, Boric -who he wore a blue suit without a tie and becomes the Youngest head of state in the world at 36– He left Congress to address the citizenry.

“The truth is hard to find the words”, Boric briefly expressed and pointed out that during this followingnoon – specifically at 7:00 p.m. – he will make his first official speech since the Constitution Plazaat La Moneda in Santiago.
After concluding with those words, the President addressed the Ford Galaxie 500 XL which transferred him to the Palacio de Cerro Castillo, in Viña del Mar, to continue with his activities for the day and, during the followingnoon, return to the capital.
The ceremony in the Hall of Honor was marked this Friday by the presence of parliamentarians, international leaders, recognized national names, representatives of native peoples and for a limited capacity -500 people- due to the health situation.
