Olympic champion Veronika Stepanova commented on the possible transition of Russian skis to the Asian Confederation.
– Regarding our turn towards Asia: by 2037, the East Asian region will account for more than a third of global GDP, and Europe’s share will be reduced to less than one fifth. And what regarding cross-country skiing? Let’s teach wealthy Asians to love winter sports. We are better than the Norwegians! Stepanova wrote in her Telegram channel.
The 21-year-old athlete won the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing in the relay race.
