During the Summer Game Fest we saw that Terry Bogard and more iconic Fatal Futy characters would be coming to Street Fighter 6 as new guest characters. Now, during the Evolution Championship Series (Evo) 2024, Capcom gave us a first look at the character’s gameplay.
The charismatic ponytailed fighter and first guest character in the Street Fighter series, Terry, is scheduled to arrive in the game in Fall 2024, then Elena in Spring 2025, before Mai finally arrives in Winter 2025 as part of Year 2 of the Character Pass.
If you’re a die-hard fan of the series, you’ll remember that Fatal Fury and Street Fighter characters have faced off in the past, most notably in the Capcom vs. SNK fighting game series. For example, there’s Elena, a Kenyan capoeira fighter who debuted in Street Fighter 3. She returned in Ultra Street Fighter 4, but did not appear in Street Fighter 5.
In our review of Street Fighter 6 we mentioned that “the franchise has gotten back on track, being an attractive title for competitive and casual players, overflowing with accessibility tools, so that anyone who sets their mind to it can be a World Warrior. With beautiful graphics to look at, characters to identify with, top-notch sound, excellent characterization in the character voices.” You can read it in full through this link.
The game is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
