Illustrator Masahiro Ito and composer Akira Yamaoka took an active part in the production of the remake Silent Hill 2 from Bloober Team. Previously, they worked on the original project as part of the team Team Silent publishing houses Konami.
As the producer said Macey Glombit was a great honor for the Bloober Team to work with two of the authors of the original Silent Hill 2 — Ito and Yamaoka put a lot of effort into the project, helping the Polish developers to correctly convey various nuances.
“We almost fell off our chairs when we found out that they [Ито и Ямаока] will be involved in the project. Together they brought clarity to many non-obvious things that have been discussed online for twenty years in a row, and we still maintain a direct dialogue with them. In addition, they directly helped us with the development process – Mr. Ito provided concept art for locations and creatures, and Mr. Yamaoka recorded the music for us, “said producer Bloober Team.
As part of the interview, Glomb also noted that even before the start of production of the remake of Silent Hill 2, representatives of the Bloober Team were in active negotiations with Konami management. — the partners carefully discussed the future project, forming its general concept for a whole year. The result of the work satisfied both parties, after which the game was launched into full-fledged production..
Recall that Silent Hill 2 remake coming to PlayStation 5 and PC. Now it does not have an exact release date, but the developers plan to share fresh details about it in the coming months.
