Western Digital’s portable SSD “WD Elements SE SSD” is small, lightweight, large capacity, and has the durability to withstand a drop of 2 meters. Western Digital provided me with such a WD Elements SE SSD as a prize for a reader giveaway in December 2023, so I checked the appearance and measured the data transfer speed.

WD Elements SE SSD is available in three capacities: 480GB, 1TB, and 2TB. This time I will use the 2TB version. The package looks like this.

Next, to check the transfer speed in an actual usage environment, I created a folder on my PC containing 208 images with a total capacity of 1.46GB.
Copy all the images in the created folder to the WD Elements SE SSD and measure the time it takes to copy with a stopwatch.
It took 10.22 seconds to copy 208 images, totaling 1.46GB.
