Lower Austria Economic Association welcomes important support for micro and small businesses.
St. Polten (OTS) – “Many companies are still struggling to survive due to the high energy prices. The Lower Austrian Business Association has campaigned vehemently for the rapid implementation of the support. For the many micro and small companies, the wait is finally over,” says WBNÖ Director Harald Servus, welcoming the start of the application for the energy cost allowance. It is now important that clarity is quickly provided for energy cost subsidy II and that this is finally launched.
“The energy cost subsidy and the flat-rate subsidy model are important measures for companies to be able to cope with the high energy costs,” says the WBNÖ director. The many smaller companies in particular, which are not covered by the energy cost subsidy, have not had any certainty as to whether and when they will receive support. It was therefore high time to implement the announced flat rate for energy costs. “A lot of time has passed since the announcement, which is causing uncertainty among companies,” says Servus. He therefore urges more speed in the implementation in the future.
Companies with an annual turnover of between EUR 10,000 and EUR 400,000 can apply for the energy cost allowance from the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The grant is between 110 euros and 2,475 euros and should be paid out within a few days of the application being submitted. All information about the funding at www.energiekostenpauschale.at.
“We are still in the middle of an energy crisis that not only endangers the survival of many companies, but also the competitiveness of the entire business location,” emphasizes Servus. It is therefore important that the energy aid is processed unbureaucratically and reaches the companies quickly.
