On July 19, Nintendo announced that it will be discontinuing the Nintendo eShop on the 3DS and Wii U platforms on March 28, 2023.
The Nintendo eShop on the 3DS and Wii U platforms will shut down prepaid on August 30th. Purchases of games, extra content, and code replenishment will then be closed on March 28, 2023, in the event that there are still funds left in the account. The system will automatically transfer funds to your Nintendo Account connected to your Nintendo Network ID.
Regarding the termination of the “Nintendo eShop” service for the Nintendo 3DS series and Wii U, the termination schedule has been updated.
