Al-Marsad newspaper: Al-Ekhbariya TV correspondent Abdullah Al-Qarni revealed that there are two brick and granite factories that are continuing their work inside a residential neighborhood in Al-Muzahimiyah, despite the ruling to close them three years ago.
The reporter said that there were decisions before, the most important of which was Cabinet Decision No. 181 issued in 1434 AH, which ordered to facilitate and take measures to remove these factories from the residential neighborhood outside the urban area.
taking measures
He continued, “Government agencies have started forming committees to take the necessary measures towards manufacturers, the first for red bricks and the second for granite.”
He continued, “However, the two factories are still operating, despite the lack of legal licenses from the relevant authorities, such as the municipality or civil defense, or even environmental permits for the establishment of such a factory next to the residents.”
facilities
And the reporter continued: “It is also strange that the state provided facilities for one of these factories and granted it a land with an area of one million square meters outside the population range.”
And he added, “In 2015, government agencies arrested an expatriate of Filipino nationality who ran 6 factories for the production of liquor in one of these factories.”
The request of the people of Al-Muzahimiyah
He concluded by saying that the residents of Al-Muzahimiyah see the necessity of stopping the environmental pollution resulting from the presence of these two factories, especially in light of the presence of the Al-Jeddah project next to this governorate.
