Blizzard is preparing its big launch of the year with Diablo IV. If you haven’t had the opportunity to taste it, here are videos showing roughly the first hour of play.
The community Diablo is buzzing with the open beta availability of Diablo IV the long-awaited new installment in the saga. I took advantage of this open beta to capture the game’s prologue on PS5 and XSX, which lasts regarding an hour. These videos were captured in 4K HDR at 60 FPS. While HDR versions take longer to appear on Youtube, versions up to 4K SDR are already available and you can watch them below.
After practicing a little Diablo IV, I can already say that the fans will not be really out of place. The gameplay is similar to the previous opus with a realization that goes up a notch even if, on PS5 and XSX, it remains a small notch below what a good PC configuration can offer. I noticed some slowdowns and some bugs on this beta. Let’s hope that Blizzard take the time to fine-tune the last details before releasing this Diablo IV waited for years.
Diablo IV is scheduled for PS5, XSX/S, PS4/Pro, Xbox One/X and PC for June 6, 2023.
