“I’ve always been driven to push boundaries and explore new sonic landscapes. What I’ve never wanted to be known for is having a great early career and then fading away. You know, that ‘Ah, his early albums were great.’ thing? I never wanted that to be said about me. So I’m always challenging myself with new stuff,” Friedman shared.

He continued, “with this new album, the closest thing I can relate it to is an album I had called ‘Scenes’ back in 1992.It was very dramatic and orchestral, with lots of instruments like violins, cellos, and all that.So,this one has that same dramatic,orchestral concept,but everything I’ve learned sence ‘Scenes’ has just exponentially grown. It’s on a much bigger scale. If you liked ‘Scenes’ at all, I think you’ll really dig this one.”
