Al-Marsad Newspaper: A video clip documented the organization of hundreds of people from the Shammar and Otaiba tribes, in a celebration at the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival in the Al-Sayahed area, in support of Khaled Al-Ghaisem Al-Shammari, who participated in the festival.
The video showed the participants in the celebration dancing, expressing their joy with Al-Ghaisem’s participation, and their wishes that he win the first place in the Shalfa competition.
The seventh edition of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, whose activities are held in Al-Sayahed under the slogan “Himt Tuwaiq”, witnessed new updates, most notably the introduction of the Bedouin race, the runner-up cup in the elite category competition, and the allocation of half a million riyals to the runner-up, in addition to 40 points to compete for the Shaddad Prize. Twenty minutes in the Shalfa Crown category, with the introduction of the “Hajeej Al-Qa’dan” round, and the addition of new points for the categories of the “Shaddad Nadir Al-Safar” award.
It is noteworthy that the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival is an annual cultural, economic, sports and entertainment festival. It aims to consolidate and enhance the camel heritage in Saudi, Arab and Islamic culture, and to provide a cultural, tourist, sports, entertainment and economic destination for camels and their heritage.
