WATCH: Connor Bedard has a blast on his return to the game

The 17-year-old Canadian prodigy celebrated his return to the Regina Pats with a small collection of six points, including four goals. See his four nets in the main text video.

In fact, Bedard was involved in all of his own goals as the Regina Pats defeated the Calgary Hitmen 6-2. His goals were the 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th goals for the Pats. On top of all that, Bedard recorded 13 shots on goal.

Every most valuable player goal at the last World Junior Hockey Championship was on special teams. His first two were on the power play, while the next two were one man short.

Obviously, it was his smashing shot that allowed him to beat Ethan Buenaventura for the first time in the match. See his first goal below.

Then, the first choice in the next draft of the National Hockey League (NHL) collected two assists, before returning to the charge at the start of the third period.

It was Bedard’s first Western Hockey League game since Dec. 4. Despite more than a month of absence, his trainer John Paddock did not spare him, using him in all sauces. Shorthanded, he intercepts a bad opponent’s throw before escaping and deceiving the vigilance of the goalkeeper to complete his hat trick.

The right-handed party doesn’t end there. Once once more at 5 once morest 4, number 98 uses his lethal weapon, his shot, to bring his total to 31 goals and 39 points in 29 games. This is a peak in Canadian junior hockey.

Including the WJC, that’s 40 goals and 93 points in 36 games since the start of the season for Connor Bedard.
