The former Barcelona star, Gerard Pique, responded in his own way to the song launched by his ex-girlfriend, Shakira, which bore “sarcastic” hints that he “replaced the Rolex watch with a Casio watch.”
In a video clip on Twitter, Pique says, taking advantage of his talk regarding the “Kings League” championship that he heads, “Casio has sent us new watches,” adding, “We have reached a sponsorship agreement between the championship and Casio,” amid laughter from the audience.
Pique was speaking as he showed a gray “Casio” watch he was wearing, which he said was “a watch that will last a lifetime”.
A participant in the broadcast, Ebay Janus, tried to calm the situation following Pique’s apparent attack on Shakira appeared. “You must be joking,” said Ebay, but the former Barca defender continued his speech and gave the audience a “Casio” watch.

Shakira’s song, which “mockes” her ex-boyfriend, Pique, set records with more than 71 million views following more than 24 hours.
The song came in an artistic collaboration between Shakira and the DJ, “Bizarab”, in which she said that she is “equal to two 22-year-old women,” noting that “he replaced a Ferrari with a Renault, and replaced a Rolex watch with a Casio watch.”
In the song, she said that she is at a level “above his level (Pique), and that is why he is with someone just like him,” and invited him to spend time training his “mind” just as he spends time training in the gym.
In November, Barcelona defender Pique announced a sudden end to his successful career in the world of the round, announcing his retirement from football.
Pique was associated with the Lebanese-Colombian singer, Shakira, following they met during the filming of the video clip for the song “Waka Waka” during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, which his country won for the first time, according to a report by Agence France-Presse.
Shakira, 45, and Pique, who played football for Barcelona, Manchester United and the Spanish national team, separated in June last year, following spending nearly 10 years together with their two sons.
After his separation, Pique, 35, began a relationship with Clarachia, 23, a young woman.
