Al-Marsad newspaper: Al-Arabiya correspondent Sultan Al-Salami monitored the start of the removal of Quoz Al-Nakasa neighborhood in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, as part of the slum development project.
Al-Salmi said that the development work and the treatment of slums in the Nakasa market aims to address all legal matters related to neighborhood residents and provide them with the necessary housing by the Ministry of Human Resources.
He added, “The development work started since this morning, Tuesday, and there are large equipment working around the clock, in full daylight hours, to treat these neighborhoods, and there are private companies to treat slums and develop them through large, large equipment, accompanied by a large number of security authorities.”
He continued: “There are two main pillars through the comprehensive strategy for addressing slums, which are the comprehensive humanitarian dimension of providing housing, support for citizens, and addressing the legal conditions of the target groups, in addition to the spatial dimension of addressing the squatter structure through removal in the Makkah region, starting from the Quoz al-Nakasa neighborhood.
He explained that there is no time limit for the completion of these works, noting that they take time, but there are things that are taken into account in the development process.
