Watch.. An Indian politician drinks from a river to prove his cleanliness and gets poisoned

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Man was taken to hospital in Delhi with stomach pain, a few days after drinking a glass of Kali Pen, a river sacred to Indians in the country, to prove it was clean.

Sources said Bhagwant Man suffered severe stomach pain and is believed to have been poisoned, at his official residence in Chandigarh on Tuesday evening, the Indian Express reported.

It also indicated that he was flown and admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi; Where he underwent medical examinations and is still in the hospital, noting that the government kept his illness a secret, and placed him under heavy security.

And a video spread of the Punjab chief minister drinking a full glass of the water of a river that Indians call sacred to prove that the water is clean and cannot harm people.

The video showed the man standing last Sunday near the river, accompanied by a number of people, then filling a glass of river water and eating it in front of the audience and camera lenses, to be later transferred to an air medical evacuation to a Delhi hospital due to severe stomach pains.
