Al-Marsad newspaper: Meteorological spokesman Hussein Al-Qahtani revealed the fact that the maps circulated in red color for convection and that they reflect the climate of the Kingdom and neighboring countries.
He said during his intervention on the “Al-Ekhbariya” channel that these maps are incorrect and do not reflect the Kingdom’s atmosphere. Rather, these maps are in circulation and are used in global and local meteorological centers. There are many of these maps in the National Center of Meteorology, and they can only be interpreted by specialists.
He continued: We are in the summer and temperatures are high in the regions of the Kingdom, and temperatures exceed 50 degrees Celsius, and information has been provided to the beneficiary parties to prepare plans to suit this atmosphere.
And he added: Many countries of the world, especially in Europe, which suffer from heat waves, are considering their development plans to suit the potential climate in the coming years.
Regarding the studies that expect temperatures to reach 60 degrees Celsius following 50 years, he said: “It is not possible to predict this way and it is not possible to live under such high temperatures on the globe, adding that the reports indicate a gradient of climates and severe cases that affect the world and we are part of the world.” We deal according to this information to develop plans that contribute to reducing these weather phenomena.
