DUO Wasia Project, formed by siblings Will Gao and Olivia Hardy, has officially released their latest single, Takes Me Back Home.
Released through AWAL Recordings, this song is a soft yet captivating ballad.
Exploring the meaning of having a place to return to as well as the desire to feel more connected to someone on a deeper level, Takes Me Back Home was released alongside the announcement of their second EP, Isotope.
Their upcoming EP will be an exciting musical experience for the British duo, as it marks a new chapter for Wasia Project.

With a gentle arrangement, various emotions are depicted through this song through the sweet notes sung by Hardy throughout Takes Me Back Home.
Wrapped in piano tinkles, low hums represented by organ sounds, and string strains, all come together to describe feelings of longing.
Wasia Project said, “Takes Me Home is, at its core, a love song, specifically regarding how we can feel safe when we’re with someone else like we’re at home. The song, however, also reflects on things that are more than that, and ultimately encompasses a deeper sense of what it means to have a home, where we can finally feel like we have a place or something to go home to, and of course the longing to be able to connect with others.”

This latest single is a continuation of the previous single, Is This What Love Is?, a song that stole the attention of many people with its pentatonic playing.
