Washington Post: Washington may adjust its aid to Kiev due to the Kursk attack

The newspaper’s source said that the US authorities are holding closed discussions about whether more armored vehicles or increased ammunition supplies should be included in the aid packages that Washington sends every two weeks to the Kiev regime.

Another source told the newspaper that Washington still does not have a full understanding of the goals of the Ukrainian forces’ invasion of Russian territory, and is not confident in the effectiveness and correctness of the strategy chosen by Kiev.

“The Ukrainians may have a plan, but they are not sharing it with us,” the source added, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The American newspaper confirms that Ukraine’s reliance on American aid “has reignited fears of a direct escalation in US and NATO relations with Russia.”

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service reported that the Ukrainian attack on the Kursk region was prepared with the participation of the US, British and Polish intelligence services. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a television commentary that the Kiev regime would not have decided to attack if it had not been instructed to do so by the United States.

Ukrainian forces launched an attack on border areas in Russia’s Kursk Oblast on August 6. Russian forces continue to confront them on this axis, suffering heavy losses in lives and equipment.
