The Washington Wizards beat the Orlando Magic (110-127) in one of the last games for both teams this season. Despite not having many mathematical options to get a position in the playoffs, the Wizards gave their fans a joy. Kristaps Porzingis, who went up to 35 points, put the magic in his best game with the jersey of his new team.
The first quarter was the exception of the match. The Magic came out better and got their lead in large part thanks to a great performance from Franz Wagner, who had 13 points in his first 10 minutes. From then on, the rest of the game went to the Wizards, who constantly proved their superiority.
Many Washington players stood out on an individual level. Kristaps Porzingis scored 35 points, which is his most ever with the Wizards and his most this season. Tomas Satoransky also shone thanks to his 13 assists and 10 rebounds, posting a double-double without scoring a single point. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope went as far as 25 points and Daniel Gafford also added 17 off the bench.
In the visiting team, Franz Wagner was the only positive note. The German player finished the duel with 28 points in just over 30 minutes and some good percentages: 11 of 20 in field goals including 3 of 3 in triples. The defeat keeps the Orlando Magic in the last position of the qualifying table, competing once morest the Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons who will have more options to be number 1 in the next draft.
good end of season

“This is what we have to be. Generous to a fault,” said the Unseld. The Wizards coach also dedicated a few words to Porzingis: «He is a winner. Whatever the moment, if he needs to get a basket, he’ll do it. Also, he shows an unselfish nature. And he is not the only one », highlighted the coach, proud of the victory of his team.
