After consultations with residents, the capital city continues its work and proceeds to talks in the districts.
Before their completion, no new projects in this area will be implemented. Possible changes will be introduced successively following 2024, taking into account the opinions of pedestrians, cyclists and drivers.
The project of the Tempo 30 zones organizes the activities undertaken so far and indicates the prospects for the development of the traffic-calmed street network. It is worth emphasizing, however, that this will take place gradually and always in dialogue with Varsovians. The most important goal of calming traffic on smaller streets is to increase safety – primarily pedestrians.
At the same time, more than 80% of The majority of traffic in Warsaw will take place on roads where the speed limit below 50 km/h is not expected at all, because these are transit, inter-district and traffic distribution streets.
