Warrior’s Spices: Conquering Europe

28 European countries will have the opportunity to taste the flavors of Quebec, and more particularly those of the Huron-Wendat Nation, since a local company has just concluded an agreement.

This is the Épices du Guerrier company, located on the Wendake Aboriginal reserve, in the administrative region of the Capitale-Nationale.

“We are very proud to announce this. It’s a process that still took two years, so investment too, time, energy, but we are very proud because there is interest among European customers for products Canadian, Quebec products, but even more native culinary products”, explains in an interview on the program “A vos affaires” Peter Moineau, vice-president development and supply of the Épices du Guerrier.

The company, which offers spice blends from Quebec, has an impressive turnover of around $2.5 million.

“We produce tons of spices,” enthuses Mr. Moineau. “We are also very proud to be able to promote Boréal products. In each of our spice blends, we include products such as dune pepper, such as balsam bayberry, then we are going to invite European customers, American customers, to discover these products with us,” adds he.

Although it has only been in business for 5 years, the company sees things big.

“It is sure that we start with France, then we expand in Europe. We are currently in the United States, but we are keeping an eye on Asia, ”assures the vice-president.
