Warriors coach breaks down in tears after massacre of 18 children in Texas

The coach of the NBA Warriors, Steve Kerr, might not contain himself before the massacre of 18 children and three adults in Texas, United States. The coach cried and asked the senators to quickly legislate on the possession of weapons in that North American country.

“I will not talk regarding basketball, nothing has changed with our team in the last six hours, we are going to start the same way. None of that matters right now when 18 children and a teacher died 300 miles away from here,” Kerr told a news conference.

Around 12 noon (Colombian time) a shooter broke into the Robb Elementary school in Texas. In the place there were regarding 500 children between the ages of 7 and 10. The murderer, identified as Salvador Ramos, 18, shot at the humanity of 23 people: 18 children and three adults died.

Six hours following the massacre, the Warriors jumped into the American Airlines Center to face the Dallas Mavericks for the Western Conference of the NBA. Coach Kerr, at the pregame press conference, burst into tears.

“I am tired of sitting here and offering my condolences as these tragedies occur for families who suffer. I’m sorry but I’m fed up, enough is enough.” Kerr said as he pounded on the table, adding: “There are 50 senators who are refusing to legislate right now.”

“We will go out and play basketball, while 50 senators hold us hostage to possible gun reforms. It’s pathetic. I’ve had enough,” Kerr said, getting up from the news conference.

Before the start of the matchup between the Warriors and Mavericks, the teams gathered in a minute of silence in honor of the victims of the shooting.
