Some websites have warned of a software vulnerability in a video game that can be exploited to penetrate computers.
According to the sites, technology experts recently warned of a vulnerability in the famous Dark Souls 3 game software, and through this loophole, Internet hackers can access users’ computers and the data in them, and control those computers remotely.
Experts also indicated that the vulnerability allows access to devices when the user activates the online mode while playing the aforementioned game, as well as that it may be exploited by users of Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2.
The sites noted, “A programmer managed, some time ago, to hack the Dark Souls 3 software while it was running by some users, broadcasted audio clips to them, and was also able to control the game’s operating settings and stop it from working,” according to “rt”.
The Dexerto website, which specializes in electronic games, stated that a programmer had informed the company responsible for developing the game regarding the aforementioned vulnerability, but the company did not stop the game completely, but rather stopped its work through PvP servers dedicated to computers.
