Warning to Vilnius residents: public transport delays are impressive

Snow covered the whole of Lithuania already at night, it does not stop in the morning and continues to snow impressively.

JUDU (SĮ “Susiasiekimos paslaugos”) warns people traveling by public transport in Vilnius that they will need patience.

“IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT PASSENGERS!

In case of bad weather conditions and resulting congestion in the city, public transport is delayed by up to 50 minutes.

We apologize for the inconvenience and wish you safe travels,” the company wrote on Facebook.

JUDU also warned about the difficulties that may arise when leaving cars in paid parking lots:

“Winter caught the capital unexpectedly!

With the onset of such weather, when car license plates remain dirty or covered with snow after a trip and become difficult to read, we invite drivers to pay attention to:

• When entering the parking lot, make sure that your car’s license plate number is clean and has been read correctly (for example, there are no missing letters or numbers). Otherwise, you will not be able to pay and leave the lot.
• If the vehicle’s license plate is not read or was read incorrectly, clean it and approach the barrier again.
