The Kaasimport Jan Dupont company is recalling, in consultation with the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (Afsca), its “Neufchâtel Artisanal Villiers” cheeses due to the possible presence of the E.coli STEC bacterium, indicates- her on Thursday by way of press release.
These are “Neufchâtel Artisanal Villiers” cheeses marketed between January 20 and February 23, 2023 and whose minimum durability date is March 5, 2023.
The product was distributed via various businesses, indicates the company, without specifying which ones. She asks her customers not to consume this product and to bring it back to the point of sale.

Possible symptoms of poisoning caused by E. coli bacteria are: diarrhea, abdominal cramps and nausea, with or without fever. These symptoms appear within a week of eating the contaminated food. The risk of infection is higher in the elderly, children, pregnant women and immunocompromised people.
