Cricket Australia is amending the code of conduct for David Warner, who is facing a lifetime ban from captaincy. An amendment is being brought to the law that the player who is facing ban can ask for re-examination following a certain period. With the retirement of Aaron Finch, there is a search for a replacement for the captaincy. Even though he is facing a ban, teammates and former players have asked Cricket Australia to consider David Warner for the captaincy position. Warner and Steve Smith were banned from captaincy for life following the ball-tampering scandal during the Test match once morest South Africa. Smith was the captain and Warner the vice-captain at the time of the ban.
