Warner acquires Player First Games, creators of MultiVersus

Just one day before the arrival of MultiVersus Temporada 2: Back in TimeWarner Bros. Games has announced the acquisition of Player First Games, developer of the new free-to-play brawler that arrived on PlayStation, Xbox and PC consoles on May 28.

According to IGNWarner Bros. Games confirmed that Player First Games will continue to be led by its co-founders, Tony Huynh (Director) and Chris White (CTO). They will now report to Carlos Barbosa, Vice President and Studio Head, Warner Bros. Games San Diego.

MultiVersus was developed by Player First Games, with Warner Bros. Games San Diego serving as production and live management support.

“We have worked with Player First Games for several years to create and launch MultiVersus and are excited to welcome this talented team to Warner Bros. Games,” said Warner Bros. Games President David Haddad. “Player First Games’ brilliant and creative team adds to our extensive development capabilities.”

Huynh added: “Our team is excited to join the Warner Bros. Games family and we think this will be great for MultiVersus as a whole. We are working to make the MultiVersus gameplay experience the best it can be and having our development team integrated with the publisher is what is best for players.”

MultiVersus Season 2 arrives Tuesday, July 23, bringing Samurai Jack and Beetlejuice as new playable characters, the introduction of Ranked Play, new maps, gameplay adjustments and balances, and much more.
