Asuncion, IP Agency.- The National Meteorological Office forecasts a warm day with mostly cloudy skies, as well as rain and occasional thunderstorms.
Last night and early Friday morning, a storm system began to affect the south and center of the Eastern region. It is expected to persist in that area and to cover more departments of the country throughout the day.
Meteorology does not rule out the possibility of severe weather phenomena occurring occasionally as the system advances.
Tomorrow, Saturday, rain and thunderstorms will be concentrated in the northeast of the Eastern region, while the probability is low in the rest of the territory.
It is worth mentioning that a significant drop in air temperature is not expected. Today, minimum temperatures will be between 18 and 23°C at night, while maximum temperatures will range between 23 and 26°C in the south, centre and east of the Oriental region, and close to 35°C in the north of the country.
Very hot since Saturday
On the other hand, the forecast indicates that, starting tomorrow, Saturday, there will be a considerable increase in temperatures, which could persist until the middle of next week.
Thus, the maximum values would be in the order of 33 and 38°C, and even close to 40°C in the north of the country.
