War in Ukraine: Russia claims to have increased its production of hypersonic missiles

Production, which was initially smaller, has seen its pace increase recently, explained to Russian television Sergei Chemezov, the head of the Russian public arms conglomerate Rostec.

Russia has significantly increased its production in all areas of the defense industry, he said. “In some cases, it was multiplied by 50,” added Chemezov.

Ammunition factories are particularly in demand, he said.

However, according to recent reports by Russian military bloggers, soldier units fighting in Ukraine have faced a shortage of ammunition.

Sergei Chemezov, considered a staunch supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, also claimed that Russia would produce 300 new combat helicopters by the end of the year. That’s roughly the number of helicopters Kiev forces have shot down since the start of the war, according to Ukrainian military leaders.
