Microsoft’s turn. The American computer giant announced on Friday that it was suspending all new sales of its products and services in Russia, eight days following the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This decision comes in a context where many companies, including Apple, have decided to disengage at least temporarily from Russia.
“Like the rest of the world, we are horrified, outraged and saddened by the images and information reaching us from the war in Ukraine and condemn this unwarranted, unprovoked and unlawful invasion by Russia,” said Brad Smith, President of Microsoft, in a press release.
Apple has also suspended the sale of all of its products.
The computer giant, which has also announced that it will stop many activities in Russia, says it is working “in close collaboration with the governments of the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom”.
