At least one person was killed and 11 injured on Thursday following a Russian strike on the city of Zaporizhia, in southern Ukraine, already targeted the day before, the Ukrainian authorities announced.

“A fire broke out in a civilian building following the occupants hit it with a missile. At the moment, we deplore the death of one person,” President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Telegram.

He posted a video showing a car on fire near the Reikartz hotel in Zaporizhia.

According to the head of the military administration of the city, Anatoli Kourtiev, the strike also injured 11 people, including one seriously.

According to him, at least four buildings were damaged. “The city is daily subjected to Russian bombardments”, for his part lamented Mr. Zelensky.

On Wednesday, a Russian strike had already killed two people and injured seven in Zaporijjia, a town located a few dozen kilometers from the front.
