Founded in 2017 and with establishments in Paris and Toulouse, the Maison de la Poutine made an update on Thursday, reminding its customers that the company is not linked to the leader.

“In this context, we have received calls of insults and even threats,” added the company. “It therefore seems necessary to us to recall that La Maison de la Poutine is not linked to the Russian regime and its leader”.

A similar misunderstanding took place in Quebec. Last week, Roy Jucep, a restaurant in Drummondville that claims to be the inventor of the dish, announced that it was temporarily removing the word Putin of its trademark. The publication was shared and welcomed by many Internet users on social networks until its withdrawal, Friday at midday.
