War in Eastern DRC: Diplomats from Central Africa support the process of returning peace

Bukavu, February 29, 2024 – President Félix Tshisekedi spoke with Central African ambassadors accredited to the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), in Brussels. The latter expressed their solidarity with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) attacked in its eastern part by Rwanda with its M23 auxiliaries.

According to Daniel Evina, Cameroonian ambassador and dean of the caucus of Central African ambassadors in Belgium, the Head of State’s hosts promised to support the DRC’s efforts with European and international bodies to defend its sovereignty.

“We are committed to supporting our colleague Christian Ndongala in this advocacy that he will have to make to the Belgian authorities and European institutions because it is a task that affects Central Africa,” he asserted;

For him to add: “these commitments are made to allow the DRC to regain peace, stability and for the President to implement his development program for a stable and prosperous Congo.”

This interview closed the mission of Head of State Félix Antoine Tshisekedi to Brussels well following his meeting during the day with the Prime Minister and the King of the Belgians.
