Want IPL? It should be done twice; Ravi Shastri has an interesting idea regarding IPL
For the past few days, the biggest debate in cricket is that ODI cricket should be cut down and leagues like IPL should grow.
Former Indian player and coach Ravi Shastri is not shy regarding giving his opinion. His revelations often lead to controversy. However, he does not hesitate to make frank statements.
Now Ravi Shastri has said that he wants two IPL seasons in a year. Earlier, BCCI Secretary Jai Shah had talked regarding extending the IPL season window.
“You can have two IPL seasons in a year. I also think international competitions will take a break. The 10-team competition can be changed to 12 teams in future,” said Ravi Shastri.
Shastri believes the growth of IPL is good for cricket.
“The growth of the Indian Premier League is good for everyone. Leagues should be encouraged whether in India, West Indies or Pakistan. “You play matches in T20 leagues and then come together for the T20 World Cup,” he added.
