Walloon budget: here is what will change in schools

The government of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation presented its 2023 budget today. Here is what is provided in the teaching:

For this, the government has released an envelope of 150 million euros. The government will continue to invest in the renewal of school buildings, in which it is investing 1 billion euros. Free in 1st and 2nd primary

In addition, a budget of 8 million euros is devoted to extending free education in 1st and 2nd primary, from the start of the 2023 school year. School canteens

To extend free canteens to the classes concerned in primary school, the government has released a budget of 7.5 million euros.

Higher Education

20 million additional euros will be granted to the refinancing of higher education.

The freezing of minerval (tuition fees) will be extended.
